Would you like to lose weight in a healthy way? You may have tried many diets before, but something is just not quite right.

There is an abundance of information available on how to lose weight. Many approaches/diets/books/influencers promise quick results and special fat-burning foods/drinks/exercises. 


It can be difficult to wade through the excess of information to find out what is true, evidence-based, and what is a FAD diet.


As a dietitian, my expertise is fully evidence-based to ensure the correctness of information and most of all – aim to do no harm. I promote making healthier lifestyle changes, step by step, to create new habits. 

I have a wealth of experience working with people from all walks of life looking to make changes to help them reduce their weight. 

Making sure the discussion is fully person-centred, an initial assessment for getting to know you, your past experiences and any medical conditions would be essential. We would explore what you have tried before and build upon these successes going forward. Building on that, we would put together a plan for going forward. I would look to do a dietary analysis, if you would find that helpful, to provide detailed information on what your typical dietary intake would be providing you. This may be helpful to guide the discussion and plan to address any shortcomings there may be.

Support is an essential component for success in weight management. You may find it helpful to have regular appointments with me to check in on your progress, see what works and what doesn’t, and discuss a further way forward. Using motivational interviewing, we can link your desire to manage your weight with your values. This is helpful to keep the motivation to carry on with improved dietary and lifestyle habits alive.
